SatPocket Terms of Use

Effective date: 1 November 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the SatPocket mobile application (“SatPocket” or the “App”) published by Voize j.d.o.o. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company established in Croatia.

Contact: support@satpocket.com

By downloading, creating or restoring a wallet in, or otherwise using SatPocket, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility and lawful availability

You may use SatPocket only if:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you have legal capacity to accept these Terms;
  • using a self-custody BSV wallet is lawful where you live and use the App; and
  • you are not prohibited from using the App by sanctions, court order, export control, or other applicable restriction.

SatPocket is intended to be available only where lawful. Availability in an app store does not mean that the App or any linked third-party service is lawful, licensed, suitable, or available in every country. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

2. Self-custody wallet

SatPocket is software that lets you create or restore a wallet and sign BSV and supported BSV-21 token transactions on your device. The Company:

  • does not hold or take custody of your BSV or tokens;
  • does not have your recovery phrase or private keys;
  • cannot access, freeze, confiscate, reverse, or recover your funds;
  • cannot reset or recover your passcode;
  • cannot restore a lost recovery phrase;
  • cannot cancel a transaction after it has been broadcast; and
  • does not operate a SatPocket user account.

Words such as “wallet”, “balance”, “send”, and “receive” describe software functions. They do not mean that the Company holds an account, deposit, or balance for you. SatPocket is not a bank or exchange.

You control the wallet through its recovery phrase. Anyone who obtains it can control all associated funds. You alone are responsible for keeping it private, accurate, and backed up.

3. What SatPocket does

The current release works with BSV and BSV-21 fungible tokens (1Sat Ordinals tokens) on BSV mainnet. It lets you:

  • create a wallet with a 12-word recovery phrase, or restore one;
  • protect the App with a 6-digit passcode and automatic lock;
  • receive with a QR code, create payment requests for a specific amount, and use multiple named receiving addresses;
  • send BSV to an address or by scanning a QR code;
  • hold, receive, and send supported BSV-21 tokens, and review, pin, or hide tokens on your device;
  • view activity for BSV and each token, with status and fee details;
  • keep an address book and see recent recipients;
  • view approximate balances in USD or EUR, hide balances, and hide the wallet preview in the app switcher; and
  • open an external ChangeNOW referral page to buy BSV.

The current release does not support testnet, multiple visible accounts, token trading or swaps, minting or burning tokens, BSV-20 ticker tokens, NFTs, ordinal collectibles, dApp connections, guaranteed background synchronization, or guaranteed restoration of wallets created with other wallet software. A recovery phrase from another wallet may show different addresses or balances in SatPocket.

Labels and statuses shown in the App are informational. The BSV blockchain determines the actual state of transactions and outputs.

4. Recovery and device security

Before holding meaningful value, you should:

  • write down the complete recovery phrase accurately;
  • store it offline in a safe place;
  • check that you can access your backup;
  • use a strong device lock and keep your SatPocket passcode private;
  • keep Android and SatPocket updated; and
  • protect your device against malware, remote access, and unauthorized file or cloud storage.

Do not send your recovery phrase, private keys, or passcode to the Company, SatPocket support, or anyone else. We will never need them and will never ask for them.

If you download your recovery phrase, SatPocket saves a plain-text file to a folder you choose. If you copy it, it goes to the system clipboard. Either action moves the phrase outside SatPocket’s encrypted storage and can significantly increase the risk of loss or theft.

If you forget your passcode, the only way back into your wallet is to log out and restore it with your recovery phrase. Logging out erases SatPocket’s wallet data from the device. It does not erase copies of your recovery phrase, blockchain transactions, or records held by external services. Do not log out unless you have a correct backup of your recovery phrase.

5. Addresses and transactions

Before approving a transaction, you must check:

  • the recipient address and, where shown, its address-book name;
  • the amount and the asset (BSV or a specific token);
  • every fee;
  • any payment request or QR code you scanned;
  • that the recipient is who you intend to pay; and
  • that you have enough BSV, including the BSV needed for token-send fees.

Addresses are hard to read, malware can replace copied addresses, names can be wrong, and QR codes can be malicious. SatPocket cannot guarantee that an address belongs to the person or service you intend to pay.

BSV transactions are generally irreversible once signed and broadcast. A transaction can stay unconfirmed, be rejected, or fail because of network, miner, or service conditions. A network error can occur after a transaction was accepted but before the App learned of it. Before trying again, check Activity and a block explorer to avoid paying twice.

A BSV-21 token is identified by its token ID, not by its name, symbol, or icon. Tokens with copied names, misleading details, spam tokens, and tokens with no value can exist. Showing, pinning, or sending a token in SatPocket is not an endorsement. Check the token ID before acting.

The Company cannot return assets sent to the wrong address, recover assets from a recipient, or change blockchain confirmations or token indexing.

6. Fees

A send may include:

  1. a network fee, paid to BSV miners and based on the transaction’s size;
  2. a SatPocket service fee, paid through a separate output to a BSV address controlled by the Company; and
  3. for BSV-21 token sends, a token indexing fee required by the token service.

The current SatPocket service fee is 100 satoshis per BSV or BSV-21 send.

The amount and all fees are shown before you approve. Fees are paid in BSV, separately from the amount the recipient receives. A token send may also put small amounts of BSV into the token outputs. The review includes these amounts with the fees and lists them separately as token output funding; they are not fees. A token send can instead free BSV held in token outputs. The review then shows it as BSV released: fees may use part of it, and the rest returns to your balance. It is not newly received BSV. SatPocket charges no service fee for receiving BSV or tokens.

If a token service reports a token as inactive, SatPocket explains that the token cannot currently be sent and can show the service’s status and funding details. SatPocket does not prepare a funding payment for you. Any payment you choose to make to a token service is an ordinary BSV send, may be irreversible, and does not guarantee that the service will index the token.

We may change the service fee in a future version of the App. Any fee will always be shown before you approve a transaction.

Once a transaction has been signed and broadcast, its fees cannot be reversed or refunded by the Company.

7. The external Buy option (ChangeNOW)

Buy opens a ChangeNOW referral page in your browser, or in the ChangeNOW app if it is installed. SatPocket does not provide the exchange, quotes, payment processing, identity checks, deposit addresses, order execution, refunds, or exchange support.

ChangeNOW decides availability, supported assets, rates, fees, minimums, processing times, restricted countries, identity requirements, and refund rules. Before using it, read ChangeNOW’s current Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

The Company may receive a referral commission when a qualifying exchange is attributed to SatPocket. This does not make the Company the exchange provider and does not change ChangeNOW’s rates, fees, or terms unless ChangeNOW says otherwise.

Opening the Buy page adds no SatPocket fee. If you later use SatPocket’s Send function to pay any address, including one supplied by ChangeNOW, it is an ordinary send and the displayed fees apply.

Questions or disputes about a ChangeNOW quote, identity check, order, deposit, payout, or refund must be taken to ChangeNOW. We may help you find the related SatPocket transaction, but we cannot control or resolve an external order.

8. Other external services

SatPocket depends on services the Company does not operate, including:

  • 1Sat, a public BSV indexing and broadcast service, for balances, activity, token discovery and verification, and broadcasting transactions;
  • BSV miners and network infrastructure;
  • CoinGecko, CoinPaprika, and CoinMarketCap for approximate BSV prices;
  • WhatsOnChain, for block-explorer pages you choose to open;
  • ChangeNOW, for the Buy option described above; and
  • Google Play, Android, and the file and storage services on your device.

These services can be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, changed, or discontinued. Their own terms and privacy notices apply. The Company does not guarantee their operation, accuracy, or continued compatibility.

9. Prices and information

USD and EUR values for BSV are approximate estimates from external market data. They can be delayed, unavailable, or different from the price you could actually trade at. SatPocket does not show fiat values for tokens and never uses a displayed price to sign a transaction or calculate fees.

Nothing in SatPocket is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, a recommendation to buy or sell, or a guarantee of value or liquidity. BSV and tokens can lose some or all of their value. You are responsible for your own tax obligations.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use SatPocket to:

  • break the law, sanctions, or court orders, or infringe others’ rights;
  • facilitate fraud, theft, money laundering, terrorist financing, or other unlawful activity;
  • distribute malware or try to compromise any device, wallet, person, service, or network;
  • interfere with, overload, or bypass the security or rate limits of the App or the services it uses;
  • misrepresent your identity or relationship with the Company; or
  • use SatPocket branding in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.

We may stop distributing or supporting the App where reasonably necessary for security, legal reasons, or user protection. Because SatPocket is self-custody, we cannot freeze or seize funds controlled by your recovery phrase.

11. Licence and intellectual property

Subject to these Terms, the Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use SatPocket for lawful personal or internal business purposes on devices you control.

SatPocket’s name, branding, design, and Company-authored content belong to or are licensed to the Company. Open-source components remain under their own licences. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or any trademark.

12. Updates, availability, and compatibility

We may add, change, or remove features, change the services the App uses, release security updates, or stop supporting older Android or App versions. Where legally required, we will communicate material changes appropriately.

Install updates only from Google Play or another store we authorize. An outdated version may expose you to security or compatibility risks.

We do not promise uninterrupted availability, background synchronization, real-time status, confirmation within a particular time, compatibility with every wallet or recovery phrase, or permanent support for any service or BSV standard.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SatPocket is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or fit for a particular purpose, or that external services and data will always be accurate or available.

You accept risks including:

  • losing, revealing, or incorrectly recording your recovery phrase;
  • compromised devices, keyboards, clipboards, or files;
  • phishing, impersonation, malware, malicious QR codes, and replaced addresses;
  • irreversible or misdirected transactions;
  • unconfirmed, delayed, rejected, or duplicate transactions;
  • failures of services, miners, the network, or software;
  • the public nature of blockchain transactions;
  • price changes and loss of value; and
  • changes in law, tax, regulation, or third-party availability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for loss caused by:

  • loss or disclosure of your recovery phrase, private keys, passcode, device, or downloaded backup;
  • an incorrect, malicious, or replaced address, QR code, or clipboard value;
  • a transaction you approved;
  • the behavior of the blockchain, miners, market-price services, 1Sat, block explorers, Google Play, Android, or ChangeNOW outside the Company’s reasonable control;
  • use of an unsupported wallet, asset, network, device, or modified App;
  • failure to install updates or protect your device; or
  • unlawful use of SatPocket.

Where liability cannot be excluded, the Company is responsible only to the extent required by law. Nothing limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where such a limit is prohibited, or any mandatory consumer right.

15. Privacy

The SatPocket Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. External services may also process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

16. Ending use

You may stop using SatPocket at any time. Before logging out, deleting the App, changing devices, or losing access to a device, make sure you have your recovery phrase.

Ending use does not reverse transactions, refund fees already paid, delete public blockchain data, or delete records held by external services.

Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, fees already incurred, disclaimers, liability, governing law, and disputes, continue to apply.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the law, SatPocket’s features, fees, services, or our practices change. Material changes will be communicated through the App, its store listing, or this website where required.

The effective date at the top shows the current version. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using SatPocket before approving another transaction.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Croatian law, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Please first try to resolve any complaint by contacting support@satpocket.com. Subject to mandatory consumer rules, the courts competent for the Company’s registered office have jurisdiction. Consumers keep any right under mandatory law to bring proceedings before another competent court.
